I was always enthusiasm by the world of dance and theater, so from childhood I went to dance schools and I graduated as an aerobics teacher.

I studied tourism and at the same time gave dance lessons, fitness and aerobics in schools and several gyms.

When I finished my degree and wanted to consolidate in a more serious job position, thanks to my experience in dancing and fitness, I ended up in a job interview to become a tourist entertainer. Just what I was looking for: a “serious” work. Well “ I don’t lose anything by trying, I’ll do a season and then continue the research, there is always time” that is what I said then and after almost 25 years, I am still here.

I have spent most of my career in animation. After that first job interview in which all sounded like Chinese, I started with an introductory course and worked directly for a hotel company ( probably the most funny summer of my life) till I ended up in Fiesta Consulting in 1996, where I have been growing up, both professionally and personally in the last 19 years.

19 years where I got married, I had two wonderful children and have also carried on in the world of animation from different job positions in this company, first as an entertainer, then in Human resources and nowadays as the Director of the Balearic Islands delegacy.
What I like most about my job are the people whom I am lucky to work with. My main tasks as a manager are lead and coordinate the staff recruitment, the formation of the entertainers, prepare projects for the hotels which we work with and manage the entertainment teams.

After 30 years in Madrid, working continuously for the government in several ministries and departments and when I thought I will retire being a public server, life put in front of me a tiled path, lilac in this case, which I decided to follow.

The lilac tile path has brought me to Fiesta Consulting, a company that I know and love from its earliest beginnings and which I feel linked to in a very special way… Is a family thing!

From my cubicle, surrounded by numbers and flowers, I am always there to help everyone.

I take care of the accountability; I am responsible for Quality and Management for Fiesta Consulting.

I am also the notary at the meetings and seminars. Coordinator of computer keys and backup, Deputy secretary of the external communications department, advisor in the purchasing department, second vocal in the opening mailbox service … and happy!

“SICILY 1989” once upon a time there was a philologist “malageña” girl with a master in translation, lifeguard, swimming instructor and occasional writer settled in Madrid, who most wanted to be ambassador in some exotic country, translator in the European parliament, cooperator in the UN or fashion designer but ended up as an entertainer almost by chance… and still is today!

Yes! You have guessed it! I am Rachel, the “golden girl” from fiesta Consulting, where I have been working since Fiesta is Fiesta. I started in the office in the Canary Islands and then moved to the Balearic islands, where I have set my residence.

My position in the company is as the training coordinator and supervisor of animation. As a supervisor I have participated and then coordinated the different entertainment training courses from the company ( in Germany, Belgium, Andalusia, canary and Balearic islands).

Where I have been lucky to work with people whom I have learned a lot of and which I have really enjoyed … and still do.

As a supervisor, I supervise the entertainer’s work, the good functioning of the animation service at the hotels and I try to spread a bit of the love that I feel for this profession which has brought so many good things to my life.

At last, just to say that the things I most appreciate and I most like about this job are:

· Every day is different.
· You can keep fit.
· It makes me update when dealing with much younger people.
· It makes me have a wider view of things as you have to deal with people from other countries, different ages and different mentalities.

Born in a small island called Ireland with a population of 3.600.000 ( when I left), known as the land of the “saints and erudite”.

I started my working career in hotels and restaurants.

I moved to Mallorca in 1995 to start my adventure as an animator, there I discovered myself and my singing talents.

I am married to my beautiful Majorcan wife and have two children and I have already been living here over 20 years.

After a few years in the hotel animation, I opened an Irish bar, I had 10 wonderful years full of joy and fun.

The crisis came and I had to close “my dream”. Luck wanted that the door from the world of entertainment reopen again and I found the “Fiesta “family where I have been working for the last 8 years.

I opened the eyes of the company to the new multimedia world, one of my hobbies and pastimes.

My position in the company is Coordinator of Multimedia, supervisor and recruitment of the entertainment teams to work in the hotels.
This is the perfect job to keep young, and where else can you work and always be in a “PARTY”…!

When I was just ix years old, my parents send me to dance classes because they realized that dancing was the only way to feel free to express my feelings.

After 10 years dancing Flamenco I decided to investigate other rhythms and created “Sadem” an urban dance group( 1996)
In 1998 I decided to join the school of dramatic Arts in Cordoba, my city. I learned to create and to live worlds through lights and souls, through costumes and wonderful texts from all times.

I could enjoy disciplines such as singing, acrobatics, fencing and, of course, interpretation.

That is when I created my own children’s entertainment group “Pirates” , where we tried to bring creativity, respect and education to the children through games and activities.

After completing my studies, I started to work in different theater companies at a local and national level, touting around Spain and Europe. Years went by and I kept dancing and acting.

One summer, one of my colleagues heard of a tourist entertainer’s job offer and curiosity made me try and I found out how funny it can be to have a job where you can gain together sports, sun, languages and travel.

After several years I met Fiesta Consulting where “respect” and “friendship” are the engines for a day full of joy. And here I am, working as a creative and choreographer coordinator. Enjoying this work , which is more a lifestyle than a profession.

My day to day:

As a creative coordinator my work consists in developing new activities to make our programs continue exiting each day and carry them over o the entertainers and the animation team. As a choreographer, I create choreographies, teaching and rehearsing shows that we propose each year in our projects. Once everything is in place, our job is to continue to maintain quality, spreading illusion to the teams, guiding and motivating them so they can have more and more confidence in the job they do.

At the age of 10 I started taking jazz dance classes and later carried on with the dancing at the Conservatory School of dance in Portugal, where I was born. I worked as a dancer and choreographer in Portugal and Cuba with the National Ballet of Camagüey.

I have worked in musicals, west side story and La cage aux Folles are some of the works I did.

With the desire to learn more and learn about other cultures, I went on board in the biggest experience of my life working for 5 years on cruises where I started to have contact with animation. In 2014 I moved to Mallorca and started to work with Fiesta Consulting. This is my first year as a joker.

My duties are to prepare and rehearse the shows; substitute heads of animation and also supervises the work of the teams in hotels.
I like challenges, fun, communication and with this job I can enjoy all this, everyday is different, there is no monotony.
